THE GOALS
Sysmex America distributes and supports automated in vitro diagnostic hematology, coagulation and urinalysis analyzers, as well as information systems for laboratories and healthcare facilities throughout the Western Hemisphere. They tasked Chicago Art Source with creating a program that was inspired by their international headquarters in Kobe, Japan, as well as paid homage to what they do.
THE STORY
We developed an art program that visually interpreted their business through fluidity and photography. It was also important to recognize the vastness of the reach of their company globally. They are headquartered in Japan but have offices in major cities throughout the world.
We created custom pieces for their conference rooms inspired by iconic images of their cities. Employee-sourced photography filled long corridors. We also commissioned paintings where the painterly process represented fluid movement.
THE RESULTS
In order to achieve the desired outcome, Chicago Art Source curated originals, edition and open prints, as well as photography. The results are an amazing story narrative that captures their culture and gives tangible, visual representation to a complex business.
